Ingredients:
Cake
- Chocolate cake mix and listed ingredients on box (eggs, oil, water)
Pudding:
- Vanilla pudding and listed ingredients on box (milk)
- 15 regular Oreos (1/3 package)
Glaze:
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Tablespoon Powdered Sugar
Directions:
- Preheat 28 coals (16 on top, 12 on bottom).
- Prepare chocolate cake as directed on the box.
- Add batter to the Dutch Oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean and let cool for 10 minutes.
- While cake is cooking finely crush Oreos.
- Make vanilla pudding and stir in Oreos and let thicken.
- Make the glaze either in a separate pan over hot briquets or in the Dutch Oven if you used parchment paper on the cake and can easily take it out.
- Poke 1/6 inch holes in cake 1-2 inches apart and pour the Oreo pudding over cake.
- Let cake sit for 5 minutes.
- Pour as much chocolate glaze as you want on top and then enjoy!
Tips:
- We premade the batter, pudding and glaze which made it easier for cooking at camp.
- We would recommend making the glaze beforehand and putting it in a mason jar for travel.
- You can also crush up extra Oreos to use as a topping after.
