Chocolate Oreo Pudding Cake

Ingredients:

Cake

  • Chocolate cake mix and listed ingredients on box (eggs, oil, water)

Pudding: 

  • Vanilla pudding and listed ingredients on box (milk)
  • 15 regular Oreos (1/3 package)

Glaze: 

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips 
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 Tablespoon Powdered Sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat 28 coals (16 on top, 12 on bottom).
  2. Prepare chocolate cake as directed on the box.
  3. Add batter to the Dutch Oven and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean and let cool for 10 minutes.
  4. While cake is cooking finely crush Oreos.
  5. Make vanilla pudding and stir in Oreos and let thicken.
  6. Make the glaze either in a separate pan over hot briquets or in the Dutch Oven if you used parchment paper on the cake and can easily take it out.
  7. Poke 1/6 inch holes in cake 1-2 inches apart and pour the Oreo pudding over cake.
  8. Let cake sit for 5 minutes.
  9. Pour as much chocolate glaze as you want on top and then enjoy!

Tips:

  • We premade the batter, pudding and glaze which made it easier for cooking at camp. 
  • We would recommend making the glaze beforehand and putting it in a mason jar for travel. 
  • You can also crush up extra Oreos to use as a topping after.
